"this is not me" is my experiment with a fictional blog. It's not a blog novel or anything, but is a blog by a fictional person. I don't know if blogs are a good media for fiction, but this is my attempt to find out.
I've got a few ideas for how the story and main character will develop as well as what's in store for the next ten posts. But the planning is quite minimilist and is subject to change. I plan to be true to the blog medium by not doing too much editing - preferring to focus on sustaining spontaneous regular postings, that are in character...
There will be very little intersection between what's in this blog and what's in the fictional blog. The only possibility is that I might explore how some of the issues that are addressed in the exploded library impact on a personal level. For example, what might it be like to be a university student in the DRM dark ages, where "fair use" has been eroded away to the point of meaninglessness? That would be interesting - but if it appears in "this is not me" it will only be on the periphery, in a way that's hopefully not too preachy or polemical.
